Zoe Spowage is a Leeds-based visual artist and Falmouth University graduate (2013), working in large-scale painting and drawing with dye, acrylic, and pastel. Her bold, expressive works explore themes of femininity, threat, and humour, influenced by her background as a scenic artist (2012–2018).

Spowage is based at Byron Street Mills and is a member of the Precious collective. In 2024, she held a prestigious solo show ‘Pet’ at Yorkshire Art Space, Sheffield. Other recent exhibitions include Xxijra Hii (London, 2023), Pictorum Gallery (London, 2023), and Hyde Park Book Club (Leeds, 2022). She has received awards including the Nottingham Castle Open Prize (2016) and Surface Gallery Prize (2016), and was shortlisted for the British Women Art Prize (2018).
